NEW PRODUCT - NOT AN UGLY RAINBARREL
Every now and again we are asked why Grobe's doesn't sell rainbarrels. There are three reasons actually. Firstly, it's hard for any retailer to compete on price with the subsidized 'garbage can style' rainbarrels supplied yearly by the Region of Waterloo. Secondly, as these items are quite bulky, shipping costs can be quite prohibitive. And finally, despite all attempts, most of the rainbarrels we have seen for the garden haven't been generally a very aesthetically pleasing addition to it.
Last week a local Waterloo Region manufacturer approached Grobe's to see if we would help to introduce their new line of rainbarrels (to an initially unenthusiastic response by our buyers). And then we saw the rainbarrel. Quite simply - they should all look this good - http://www.grobenursery.com/home. In addition to the great colour and style, we were impressed to see that the barrel had an incorporated overflow port and a drain plug at the bottom to allow for complete and easy draining of the barrel or when the water level gets below the height of the brass spigot.
